The upcoming season of Survivor South Africa officially has a location with shooting taking place at El Nido, Palawan in the Phillipines.
An official document posted on the El Nido Tourism facebook page from the Mayor of the Municipality of El Nido shows the closure of locations in the area from January 21 and will run up until February 21.
US Survivor has previously filmed 4 seasons in the Philippines during 2012 and 2013 filming seasons 25 & 26 on the Caramoan Islands in Camarines Sur and season 27 & 28 on the Palaui Islands in Santa Ana, Cagayan.
Interestingly, the filming length appears to only be one month (5 weeks), short of the typical 39 days of a US season. Historically Survivor South Africa has run for 27 days and it would appear the rebooted version will maintain that length.

Survivor South Africa is expected to air later this year.
