Bachelor In Paradise Episode 1 Recap | Tuesday April 9

10 Media Release

First to arrive on the island was bubbly blonde beauty Shannon Baff, best known for scoring the first date but not the first kiss with last season’s Bachelor Nick Cummins.

Next to step out into the sun was Bill Goldsmith, best known for introducing his ex-girlfriend to last season’s Bachelorette Ali Oetjen.

Following Bill’s arrival was fan favourite Brooke Blurton, best known for walking out on Nick Cummins right before the top three rose ceremony.

Personal trainer Paddy Colliar took the Paradise count to four, telling the camera he was eager to “do what Paddy does best…tune women!”

Following Paddy was reality television’s ultimate hopeless romantic Cass Wood, and the adorable James Trethewise, who failed to win the heart of Sophie Monk but won the affection of Australia.

Controversial feather ruffler Cat Henesey-Smith has traded her love for Bali for a stint in the South Pacific, with the hope of finding love and overturning the negative public perception of her.

It didn’t take long for Conga line enthusiast Brittney Weldon’s arrival to have the rest of the Cobana in hysterics, with the highly-energised Brisbanite lusting over Bill’s salt and pepper locks.

Naughty Nathan Favro arrived into Paradise next, keen to show a different side to his personality after an unceremonious outing on Ali’s season. Alex Bordyukov from the 13th season of the American franchise followed Nathan, setting tongues wagging over his bronzed and buff physique.

Rachael Gouvignon arrived keen to give Paradise a second go, after failing to find romance last season.

The last girl to arrive on the island was Alisha Aitken-Radburn, who emerged as the commentator on the last season of The Bachelor Australia.

Brooke, Cass, Cat and Alisha decided to sit down and debrief about their season of The Bachelor Australia. Cat was quick to ask Brooke what happened between her and Nick, and in a shocking revelation, Brooke announced that on her last date with Nick he secretly stopped the cameras to tell her that he wasn’t going to pick anyone at the end.

A new day saw new drama start to surface with the revelation that Bill had been connecting with girls ahead of Paradise. Paddy decided to confront him about the rumours and things got more heated then a Fijian sunburn.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get juicier, former Bachelor Richie Strathan arrived ready to spice up Paradise.

Angie Kent is our new Bachelorette

0
Photo: 10 Australia

From Couch Critic to Jungle Kween, Angie Kent has well and truly won hearts
across the country, but now the question is, who will win hers?

After months of speculation, 10 is positively pumped to announce that Angie
Kent is Australia’s next Bachelorette.

Sweet yet sassy, this 29-year-old Bachelorette is wide open to falling in love, but
also isn’t afraid to tell Mr. Wrong to hit the road.

Photo: News Limited

Known for being one half of the hilarious screen critic duo with Yvie Jones,
Angie’s infectious smile, sharp wit and courageous attitude recently carried her
far in the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
Across the series, Angie became a pillar of the jungle family, where she formed a
very close bond with 2019’s King of the Jungle, Richard Reid and cemented
herself as a firm fan favourite.

Now, after years of taking care of the other people (and the rescue dogs) in her
life, it’s time for Angie to put matters of the heart first and take the leap into a
bed of roses.

On becoming the Bachelorette, Angie said: “I’ve always been the girl who loves
to make everyone laugh, but now I reckon it’s time to have someone to laugh
with me, rather than at me.
“I’m at a place now where I have loads of self-love, but I’m also open to all of
life’s amazing possibilities. So, if 20 or so fellas want to join me, have a laugh and
potentially be my perfect partner in life and love – I say – let’s give it a red hot
go!”

Network 10 Executive Producer of The Bachelorette Australia, Hilary Innes, said:
“Angie is the perfect Bachelorette. She’s genuine, funny, loveable and naturally
gorgeous. I am so excited to see Angie’s love story unfold.” Hilary added.
The fifth season of The Bachelorette Australia will follow Angie as she navigates
a world full of handsome suitors, cheese platters and extravagant dates all in the
name of finding Mr. Right. With a Bachelorette this loveable, the competition is
going to be tough.

MasterChef Australia is a cooking competition like no other. It transforms lives, inspires the nation and impresses the world’s best chefs.

After searching the far corners of the country for the best amateur cooks, Australia’s iconic cooking series, MasterChef Australia, is primed to set television’s tastebuds on fire.

Everyone’s favourite judges Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris are poised with their knife and fork, ready to taste a new calibre of cooking and share their own talent and insights with our eager contestants.

We return with the best home cooks who will each plate up their signature dish in a bid to earn the prized MasterChef Australia apron, and gain them entry into the prestigious alumni of ten previous seasons.

Familiar faces and much-loved MasterChef Australia alumni Poh Ling Yeow, Billie McKay and Matt Sinclair, who have each gone on to achieve critical acclaim and culinary success, join this season in the official role as mentors for those contestants who dare to dream.

The 11th season of MasterChef Australia welcomes back domestic goddess Nigella Lawson, who returns to inspire and challenge in her own week.

Nigella is just the tip of the iceberg in a long list of international and local culinary legends joining the kitchen this season, ready to stir up our Top 24.

Survivor David v Goliath – One and Done or More to Come?

0
Robert Voets/CBS Entertainment

Survivor David v Goliath wrapped up and it is time to consider who we may and may not see again. Whether there is more to come from each contestant, or they were one and done. IN this day and age of Survivor it is not a case of IF someone returns, but WHEN someone returns from a season. So who has the best shot at playing the game again?

Pat Cusack

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

First boot? Returning? That’s rare. Then again, he wasn’t exactly voted out and Jeff loved him and based the season around him. Being taken out the way he was would have been heartbreaking and probably crushed the hearts of the producers. Jeff will want him back. Pat will want to come back. I get Caleb Reynolds returnee vibes from him.

Analysis: More to Come

Jessica Peet

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

This 19-year-old didn’t leave anywhere near big enough a mark on the game to be considered a serious chance of returning. Probably played too early and was a little out of her depth.

Analysis: One and Done

Jeremy Crawford

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

Jeremy was great while he lasted. His dynamics with Natalie early on were priceless which helped contribute to such a great season. The big problem is that it WAS such a great season. He is low on the call back list from a stellar cast.

Analysis: One and Done

Bi Nguyen

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

Was it a quit or a med-evac? It was a quit. Jeff Probst has openly said that quitters will not return. It is understandable as to WHY she did it, but then again that would always be in the back of her mind. Unless you are a fan of her sport, you’ve seen the last of Bi.

Analysis: One and Done

Natalia Azoqa

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

Her archetype is one that quite often comes up as an early boot. She lasted longer than some may have expected. In her favour is that she is someone who is really prepared to play the game hard and force a play or make a move. Given that her archetype is one that does often go out early, perhaps in a returnee season she has a chance of being asked back afterall.

Analysis: One and Done

Natalie Cole

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

Pure TV Gold. Sometimes Survivor has difficulty bringing back a strong cast of women for returnee seasons, but Natalie has to have put herself at the top of the list. TV Gold is the only way one could possibly describe her. Those on the island with her may describe in other ways, but that just adds to the TV product. If she wants to return, she will return. If season 40 turns out to be an All-Star cast like season 20 did, she will back out there within the next 12 months filming another season for our entertainment. If she wants to, that is.

Analysis: In Limbo

Lyrsa Torres

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

Lyrsa was definitely a unique and interesting one. When she was there. Front and centre one episode, disappeared for the next two, and soon disappeared for the game. Even with the iconic “Jacketgate” tribal council it was all about Natalie and Angelina. Too much has happened throughout the season that Lyrsa may shockingly disappear into the background.

Analysis: One and Done

Elizabeth Olson

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

At the merge, I’d have anticipated her to have a much higher shot at returning. By the end of the season and all that transpired, now a few month’s on – not so much. Working in her favour is that she is a very different character to the standard LA recruit who’s nominated as being from “x” hometown so it doesn’t look like 90% of the cast come from the one area. There really isn’t quite many Survivors that are like Elizabeth. And the ones I think of are the Steve “Chicken” Morris and Wendy Jo’s.

Analysis: In Limbo

John Hennigan

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

What a surprise he was. The Goliath of Goliaths’s, yet also showed moments of humility, gentleness, and vulnerability. He would be absolutely fantastic to have return and was a great catch for the franchise. Of course, that’s not going to happen. It was a scheduling miracle that he was able to go in the first place. For lightning to strike twice seems like a long shot.

Analysis: One and Done

Dan Rengering

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

The first player to have been nullified out of the game in a sick twist of fate. What if he didn’t play the idol the previous week for Angelina? Would that idol be safe? He could be haunted by how things went down. Dan was also shown quite prominently throughout the season. Jeff also loves the Alpha male and his quite humorous relationship with Kara and sort of naive gameplay could make him a good shot to return.

Analysis: More to Come

Alec Merlino

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

For those wondering why he wasn’t asked a question at the Survivor Reunion, it is because he wasn’t there. For those unaware and wondering why he wasn’t there, it is because he had breached contract with CBS by posting a photo pre-cast release with another contestant. He has gotten the powers that be offside and is not coming back.

Analysis: One and Done

Carl Boudreaux

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

Bing! And that’s about it. In a memorable season, that is about all I can picture him doing or saying. He is too overshadowed by many other cast members and may fall victim to the plethora of wonderful characters that we were blessed with. He will, however, always be remembered for finding and successfully playing the first ever idol nullifier in Survivor US history.
Bing!

Analysis: One and Done

Christian Hubicki

Photo: Survivor CBS Robert Voets

Christian is a guarantee to come back, right? He is arguably one of the most loved contestants in such a long time. They have to have him back, don’t they? Well that depends if he wants to and is available to come back. A little history that he revealed, he had stopped applying for quite some time before realizing that he was about to commence as a University professor and that this may be his last opportunity to play Survivor. Yes, he clearly loves the game and the fans almost unanimously loved him, however career goals may interfere with the plans CBS more than likely have to bring him back.

Analysis: In Limbo

Davie Rickenbacker

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

Davie was a real character. Yes, he may have been relatively quiet for the first third of the game, but come merge he came out and showed us what he has. He has charisma, he has game, and he has a very good chance of returning.

Analysis: More to Come

Alison Raybould

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

We heard all season long how Alison was such a massive threat to win the game. We just did not exactly see it. She seemed calm, rational and level headed all season long. That makes her a great player, but not necessarily at the tope of list of potential returnees. She is probably behind Angelina and Natalie for the women of this season alone to return. That makes her a longshot for a comeback.

Analysis: One and Done

Kara Kay

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

Kara appeared to have a very solid social game and game awareness of how she may be perceived. Se just happened to make no big impact in the game and did nothing to stand out much that demands a return to our screens. Let’s face it, sane, rational, social players aren’t the most entertaining. She was arguably a little too normal of a human being for Survivor.

Analysis: One and done

Angelina Keeley

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

There was hardly a more fun and entertaining female player than Angelina that went deep in such a long time. She became one of the biggest characters and was also quite polarising. She appears to be everything that you could want in a returning player. If the record of who has been brought back in the past is something to go by then surely she is a lock.

Analysis: More to Come

Mike White

Photo: CBS Survivor Robert Voets

Clearly Mike is a massive fan of the game. Clearly Mike is a great story teller. He has been in the ear of Jeff Probst for quite a while and was even the cause of a late change to the set-up of Season 29: San Jaun Del Sur. Mike may even have the luxury of taking off whatever time he desires in order to play again. Of all the celebrities that have played, none have returned for round 2. Of all of them, Mike White has to be the most likely to return. Working against him was a certain controversy surrounding him and smuggling certain items onto the island that could have seen him blacklisted.

Analysis: One and Done

Nick Wilson

Photo: Robert Voets CBS

How can he not return? Aren’t we eventually going to get an all winners season? Apparently not, if Jeff has any say in it. But if higher powers push for, then maybe we will. His story seems complete. I see no benefit in him returning. That said, if asked he is almost certain to jump at the opportunity. Nick seems like the guy who would just love to play the game again and again and again.

Bachelor in Paradise is coming soon to 10 and WIN Network.

Australia’s New Bachelor Is Ready For Launch.

To say Australia’s new Bachelor aims for the stars is an understatement.

Astrophysicist Matt Agnew has travelled the world following his passion for space, working on his PhD and trying to locate Earth 2.0.

While his search for other planets has taken him as far as Berlin, Sweden and Buenos Aires, his search for true love has now brought him home to Melbourne.

Raised in Adelaide and Perth, it’s not surprising that Matt’s a fan of AFL and also enjoys getting outside for a hike and hitting the gym. This gregarious 31-year-old is also a secret weapon in the kitchen and even dabbles in a bit of yoga.

One of four kids, Matt has had outstanding relationship role models in his parents who have been happily married for over 30 years.

In regards to love, Matt’s parents’ advice has always been; “You’ve got to give it a go, give it a chance and put your heart out there.” Well, he’s certainly doing that now.

After suiting up to be groomsman several times, Matt said: “Seeing my mates finding their partners, tying the knot and buzzing with laughter and love together, I realise I want that!”

Years of living abroad proved an exciting adventure for this smiley Bachelor, but now he’s back in Oz, a proud new homeowner and ready for the next phase in his life.

Matt is ready for that special someone to come along and he’s after the type of love that hits you like a thunderbolt, but doesn’t fizzle out. Sparks are important, but he’s also looking for a genuine woman who enjoys having a laugh, doesn’t take herself too seriously and has a real passion for life.

On becoming the Bachelor, Matt said: “I’ve got a real ‘do it once, do it right’ mentality so I’ll be making sure I throw myself into it, be vulnerable and enjoy what comes from that.

“It may be an unorthodox way to meet someone, but I think it’ll be a sensational experience and make for a cracking ‘how we met’ story!”

Network 10 Executive Producer of The Bachelor Australia, Hilary Innes, said: “Matt brings spades of old school romance back to The Bachelor. He’s a bachelor with natural charm and intelligence but with a definite twinkle in his eye.

“Matt will be a breath of fresh air to be around. He comes from such an interesting and different world but is still a humble and down to earth Aussie man who really just wants to find the love of his life.”

The seventh season of The Bachelor Australia will follow Matt as he endeavours to find his star-crossed lover among an outstanding group of hopeful Bachelorettes. With all the romance, fireworks and cheese platters you’ve come to expect and a brand new brainy Bachelor on board, this season is set to soar to new heights.

Trouble in Paradise as Richie and Alex reunite | Bachelor in Paradise

It’s not all palm trees and pristine water in paradise. A tropical storm is brewing, promising to leave a trail of destruction in its wake when Bachelor In Paradise returns.

Reuniting for the first time since their “brutal” separation are The Bachelor Australia’s season four controversial sweethearts, Richie and Alex.

Their anticipated reunion sparks a major showdown between the former flames, reigniting past tensions. Will the “grubby details” surrounding their split ruin their chances of finding love again.

Also donning a sarong and sipping on a Pina Colada will be outspoken bachelorettes Cat and Alisha, fresh from their stint on Nick Cummins season of The Bachelor.

Hoping this will this be their chance at redemption and finding love, the two plan to show another side of themselves. But will their sharp claws come out again?

And if that isn’t enough to have you purchasing your first class ticket to Fiji, then Brooke’s shocking secret bombshell will.

Brace yourselves Australia, this is going to be a turbulent ride.
